LEGO: Troll Tribike

by Henrik (29/11/10) Email

Another Troll vehicle. It was design in LDD at the same time as the Light Walker and Assault Wagon, but for various reasons it took me a while to build it in real bricks and then photographing it.

Troll Tribike

It is meant to be a quick assault vehicle for urban areas. It's main task is to give support fire to the foot soldiers.

This "Imperial Revenge" post does not contain any back story. I have more to say but I'm saving it for another post.

Nimis

Nimis

This post features 38 pictures on the biggest piece of art I have photographed so far. It is called Nimis (Latin for "too much") and can be found on a beach in Kullaberg nature reserve. It's built out of wood and it's estimated to weight about 70 tons. The history behind this work is long and I'll only give a brief retelling of it here. The construction of it was started in 1980 by the artist Lars Vilks. He didn't bother to obtain any permission from the local government to build it so once they found out about it, they started the legal work to get it removed. But after a lot of legal filibustering by the people that want to preserve the work, they seems to have given up on the idea. The work is still being worked on by various people and parts of the construction has been rebuilt during the years because of damage dealt to it by storms and arsonists. All my pictures were shoot on the same summer day this year.

Norway trip

by Henrik (25/11/10) Email

This year me and my SO went to Norway for about a week. We did the trip mostly because I wanted to visit a friend and we both wanted to experience (which in my case means photographing) the Norwegian landscape. We drove along the coast and made stops in Oslo, Mandal, Stavanger and Kristiansand. Although it was raining a lot during our trip we still got a fair share of nice weather and we where able to enjoyed the trip a lot.

Below are two pictures that I couldn't group in with the other pictures I'll post later.

LEGO: Royal procession

by Henrik (17/11/10) Email

A while ago I went throw the LEGO set library over at Brickset looking for sets that I could build my own versions of. Two sets I found were "6023-1: Maiden's Cart" and "6011-1: Black Knight's Treasure". They where simple enough for me to be able to build without needing to buy many or expensive bricks. I first built my own versions of them in LDD and then order the missing pieces from LEGO's Pick-a-brick store. But just building my own version of those two sets wasn't enough for me. I wanted to do something fun with them so I put together a couple more minifigures and three trees to make a little scen.

Royal Procession
The trees are what I would like to call 2D-trees - only meant to be view from one angle. I think I will use similar trees for future diorama ideas.

About low activity and a picture on Simpson

by Henrik (16/11/10) Email

I haven't felt like posting to this blog for a while now. There are many different reasons for this, but mainly because I chosen to spend my time on other things. I want to get the posting going again so I'll start with a picture on Simpson. Yes, I have plenty of pictures on him to post, but I'll try to post other things as well.

Simpson

On this picture he is 14 weeks old.
