On Hallands väderö I had the opportunity to photograph a Small Copper butterfly. I had the luck to photograph a lot of butterflies last year, but non of them was a Small Copper. So I was happy to see a butterfly I hadn't photograph before. I was never able to get as close to it as I wanted. I hope I one day I will get a better opportunity.

For this Christmas I shaped my saffron buns into butterflies. I came up with the design myself, but the production was a team effort by me and my girlfriend. And yes, the result is as delicious as it looks.

In the Butterfly House they had placed a lot of the butterflies cocoons in one place for us visitors to look at. Not nearly as beautiful as the end-product but I thought it would be interesting to post a few pictures on them anyways.

The first post with pictures from my trip to the Butterfly house will of course be packed full with butterfly photos. Sadly I can't name any of them. But they sure are pretty.

I'm ending this Butterfly Week with a couple of photos on butterflies that I don't know the names of.

For Saturday's butterfly post, another post on a "Large White" butterfly.

I believe this butterfly is a Silver-studded Blue. Sadly I couldn't get a picture of it when it folder out its wings.

On the fourth day of Butterfly Week, a small orange butterfly. I believe it is a Scarce Copper.

On the third day of Butterfly Week, a beautiful Peacock butterfly.

On second day of Butterfly Week I present: Common Brimstone.

This photo is on a butterfly that found his way into my apartment. After chasing him for minutes, he finally settled down on my living room wall and allowed me to take this photo.

Today I took a photo on a Large White butterfly.

I was standning about two meter from the butterfly. Maxed out the zoom on the camera. (Photo cut and resized.)

Christmas two years ago I decided to make gingerbread butterflies. I was very happy with the result.

To cut out the butterflies I used two home-made paper templates. The final icing designs were decided on after several sketches on paper were made.

I have planes for this years gingerbread cookies, but I won’t disclose them just yet.
