Summer project 2011 / Balcony report
by Henrik (21/05/11)
Things have been going well so far. All flowers are in their final locations now. Out of the eight sunflowers I cultivated I have given away five. So only three are left on my balcony.

The two boxes on the floor contains Chrysanthemum greens and Bluehead gilia mixed together. The tree pots up against the wall contains the three sunflowers. The hanging box to the right contains the Buck Bay vygie. The big pot contains the Clematis I received for my birthday last year. I'm happy it survived the winter.

We choose to "plant" some fake grass in the balcony box this year. Our dog Simpson likes to stand there and watch, so we didn't want to place anything there that would block his view.

The Rhubarb has survived yet another winter. This winter I for the first time let it stand out on the balcony. Looks like I made a good decision. It looks better than ever.
Mirrors
by Henrik (24 January 2008)
In the elevators on the cruise boat was decorated with mirrors on all sides. On the few occasions I was alone in a elevator I tried to take photos of my self. Here is the results.

Saint Nicholas
by Henrik (24 January 2008)
The first stop on the cruise we made was in the Italian city Bari. What makes this city special is that it is the burial site for Saint Nicholas (aka Santa Clause). Sadly we weren’t allowed to enter the church that day. So I had to be content with standing in doorway and take some pictures.

Somewhere in there does he rest.

Two scruffy looking pigeons

Two scruffy looking pigeons I don’t know if they always look like that or they were just in a fight. Makes the pigeons I have in my home town look clean and civilized.

"Old towns"
by Henrik (3 December 2007)

Every city we visited during the cruise had a “Old town” district. Districts with small irregular streets that make you feel like you’re inside a maze. It is hard to capture that feeling on photos. My effort is shown below.
Water
by Henrik (16 November 2007)
Here is another post with photographs from the Adriatic sea cruise. This time it’s photos on water!

Venice
by Henrik (12 November 2007)
The Adriatic cruise started in Venice. We never got any chance to explore Venice by foot and all we only saw Venice from the boat. While we cruised through Venice I took a lot of photographs.

The Alps from above
by Henrik (20 October 2007)
At the end of the plane ride to the Adriatic cruise we passed over the Alps. I never thought I would be able to take pictures like these.

Clouds
by Henrik (5 October 2007)
We got to the Adriatic cruise by plane. I was lucky and got a window seat. Of course I used the opportunity to take several photographs (I wouldn’t be able to resist to take a couple of photographs even if I tried). I think I got a couple of nice photographs on the clouds we flew over.

Around the Adriatic Sea
by Henrik (30 September 2007)
I recently went on a cruise around the Adriatic sea. I saw a little of Venice, Bari, Kotor and Split. And of course I took a lot of pictures. Almost all of the can be found here. My favorites will be posted on this blog in a series of blog post.

This is a nice picture of the ship I stayed on. I took the picture from one of the Tenders boat they used to transport us from and to the ship and the city Split. The photograph has been cut and resized.
