LEGO: A piece of a medieval city
by Henrik (29/03/11)
My biggest MOC so far. The piece is suppose to portray what you would get if you sliced and lifted out a square of a medieval city. In this square you can see an inn, a street both, a fabric store, a smithy and various people walking around. From two of the sides you can look into the buildings.

LEGO: Secret of Monkey Island
by Henrik (14/01/11)
"LeChuck is at it again. After having kidnapped Elaine and leaving Guybrush Threepwood to die on a deserted island, he is sailing the seas to find the perfect place to marry Elaine on. But luck was on Guybrush's side. After having solved a series of puzzles and tasks he got the island's monkeys to build him a ship."

This is a LEGO creation I thought up when I was thinking about doing something fun the the small boat pieces. While thinking if I could make a small sail boat with them I came to the thought that small ships would fit nicely in a Secret of Monkey Island MOC.

The most fun part for me when building this set was that I had all the pieces I wanted. It feel good to now have a decent amount of LEGO bricks. Only one piece had to be made by myself, the sail. I made a black and white paper copy of a sail that came with "Brickbeard's Bounty" and cut it down to fit the size of the boat.
LEGO: Royal procession
by Henrik (17/11/10)
A while ago I went throw the LEGO set library over at Brickset looking for sets that I could build my own versions of. Two sets I found were "6023-1: Maiden's Cart" and "6011-1: Black Knight's Treasure". They where simple enough for me to be able to build without needing to buy many or expensive bricks. I first built my own versions of them in LDD and then order the missing pieces from LEGO's Pick-a-brick store. But just building my own version of those two sets wasn't enough for me. I wanted to do something fun with them so I put together a couple more minifigures and three trees to make a little scen.

The trees are what I would like to call 2D-trees - only meant to be view from one angle. I think I will use similar trees for future diorama ideas.
LEGO: Imperial outpost
by Henrik (06/10/10)
This is my biggest MOC to date. It is not an impressive size by any standard, but it is the biggest I can build without ending up with an abstract art piece. The set belongs the the "Imperial revenge" theme and is an old ruin rebuilt it just enough to serve as a camp and lookout point for the Imperial army. I decided to make this set because I wanted to make a home for my little Imperial soldiers.

LEGO: Monkey dreams of Banana
by Henrik (31/07/10)
This little diorama is my entry into a raffle competition over at Eurobricks. The competition revolves around building a creation that is fruit themed. I would really liked to do something bigger, but I'm still suffering from owning to few bricks.

LEGO Scene: The Warmonger attacks
by Henrik (12/07/10)
This is the scene with The Warmonger that I promised to post. It is the second LEGO scene I have created and like the first one it is in the "Imperial revenge" theme. It is depicting a scene from the early stages of the Space Troll invasion. I have keep the scene small and simple because I don't have so many bricks and pieces to use. I'm still working on acquiring an large amount of LEGO pieces.

The scene is not meant to be viewed from more angles than these two. The soldier that is running away has one of those "double face" head, which means that he looks weird when viewed from behind. And the soldier that is caught in the claw does not have a face which fits with the situation. I blame these two faults on my small LEGO collection.
Pre Tatooine Mission Briefing (a.k.a. "These are the Droids we're looking for")
by Henrik (11/01/10)
Another diorama that took more time to setup than it looks. I had a hard time figuring out how to light the scene and from what angle I would take the picture. But I eventually got a picture I was satisfied with.

This is the last of the current batch of Star Wars Lego dioramas. I have one more idea left in my head, but I probably won't take the time to set it up for a while.
Two Stormtroopers relaxing on the beach (Lego diorama)
by Henrik (07/01/10)

I worked a lot on the lighting for this picture. I tried to make it look like the sun was brightly shining on them from above by creating sharp shadows from the palm leafs. But it was hard to create the shadows without creating bright reflections is the plastic leafs. This picture is the best compromise between sharp shadows and bright reflections that I could get.
But after all my work I'm still not 100% satisfied with the result. It may be stupid of me to point out the faults on this picture, but I will do it anyways. The seashell has double shadows. I didn't see it until after I cleaned up the set. If I had, I would have removed the seashell. Usually I would redo the shoot, but in this case, I don't think it would improve the picture enough for me to invest the energy.
Caught Speeding (Lego diorama)
by Henrik (27/12/09)
I have been playing around with my Lego bricks again and this is the result.

I'm planing on doing more of these dioramas during my time off this Christmas season. I have a few ideas in my head.
Star Wars Lego Dioramas
by Henrik (23/09/09)
More photos from my evening with Star Wars Lego. This time, small and simple dioramas instead of single figures.
A grim discovery.
A deal is being made.

Han Solo's nightmare.
