Four meter up on the corner of a house in central Halmstad stands a statue of Duke Knut. It was made in 1985 by local sculptor, painter and printmaker Walter Bengtsson. "Duke Knut" is a real historic knight. His full name is Knut Porse and he was the Duke of Halland during the 14th century. It is said that he's the one that gave Halmstad its name.
