As promised here is a picture on a full moon. See how flat and boring it looks.

I have been trying on several evenings to capture the moon on camera. My first thought was to capture the full moon on camera, but did realized that the full moon is the least interesting moon phase to photograph. A full moon looks completely flat, while partially lighten moons have surface structure around the "twilight area". Surface structure like craters and mountains. I find seeing them fascinating. (And to prove my point I will at a later date post a picture on a full moon.)

I do not have a telescope or an expensive telephoto for my camera. So these photos are only cut and not resized.

This weekend I took the time to take a walk around my home town with my camera and my tripod. The walk was during the mild early summers night and as you can see, the moon was out.

This photo was shot with an exposure time of 15 seconds, but the rest of the photos below was shoot with an exposure time between 2 to 5 seconds. It was a lot darker in the park above than in the rest of the town.
