Summer project 2011 / Balcony report

by Henrik (21/05/11) Email

Things have been going well so far. All flowers are in their final locations now. Out of the eight sunflowers I cultivated I have given away five. So only three are left on my balcony.

Balcony report
The two boxes on the floor contains Chrysanthemum greens and Bluehead gilia mixed together. The tree pots up against the wall contains the three sunflowers. The hanging box to the right contains the Buck Bay vygie. The big pot contains the Clematis I received for my birthday last year. I'm happy it survived the winter.

Balcony report
We choose to "plant" some fake grass in the balcony box this year. Our dog Simpson likes to stand there and watch, so we didn't want to place anything there that would block his view.

Balcony report
The Rhubarb has survived yet another winter. This winter I for the first time let it stand out on the balcony. Looks like I made a good decision. It looks better than ever.

Things are doing great. Although the Wallflowers died shortly after the last report, my balcony is still looking good with the plants I have left. Not all flowers have started to bloom yet, but they probably will very soon.

About Project Summer Flower 2009 and new flowers

by Henrik (10/05/09) Email

Thing are overall going great and my balcony is looking nice. Most of the flowers from Project Summer flower 2009 have been moved to their permanent pot and spot and some new flowers have moved in. Unfortunately most of my photos on the balcony didn't turn out that great, but I don't feel like reshooting them so I'm using them anyway. I want to post this little report as soon as possible.

Balcony report
In the upper half of my shelf I now have three French Marigold and two new flowers. The two new plants are both birthday gifts. The plant with the blue flowers is a Hydrangea and the one with the yellow flower I don't know what it is.
