More Zamioculca flowers
by Henrik (06/04/11)
The same Zamioculca that flowered two years ago is now blooming again. This time it has two flowers. I didn't notice the first one until I saw the second one and took a closer look on the Zamioculca.

The "old" flower.

The "new" flower.

I did not know Zamioculcas plants could produce flowers. I have own this plant for about 6 years and this is the first time I ever seen a Zamioculcas plant have a flower on it.

Introducing my plants: The other two Zamioculcas.

This plant is about as old as my Pothos. I don’t know which one is the oldest. They may have been bought almost at the same time even.
Zamioculcas are suppose to be hard to kill. But I did almost kill this one. Without knowing enough about the plant I replanted it in nutrition-rich soil. And it really didn’t like that at all. It has slowly recovered from my mistreatment ever since. It is starting to look good again. It is a real survivor.
And yeah, I did know that I was facing the sun when I took the picture.

This one was bought to replace the first one when I though it was definitely about to die.

Introducing my plants: The House warming gifts
by Henrik (28 September 2007)
These are the plants that I have recived from family and friends after I moved to my new apartment last autumn. I must say I appriceate them all and I’m doing my best to keep them alive.
Unknown

I haven yet figured out the name on this plant. I guess I haven’t tried hard enough. Visiting a flower shop and look for similar plants should be all it takes.
I’m thinking about putting this one in a larger pot. But that would mean I can’t keep it on the windowsill it is standing on now. And replanting it doesn’t only raise the question of where to put it, I would also have to pick out a new nice pot for it.
But as you might imaging, these question are not the biggest or most urgent one in my life, so I guess this plant will have to be satisfied with its pot and location for now.
Zamioculcas (Zamioculcas zamiifolia)

Kalanchoe (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana)

I don’t know why, but it has decided to grow in this strange way.
Poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima)
